Umiaghwa-Abraka Kingdom Monarch Celebrates 6th Coronation Anniversary
The Ovie of Umiaghwa-Abraka Kingdom, HRM Air Vice Marshal Lucky Ochuko Ararile (Rtd), has celebrated his 6th coronation anniversary.
The 2-day-ceremony which attracted indigenes and friends of the kingdom held recently in Oria.
The first day, the community’s cultural day, saw a lineup of several cultural displays by different communities in the kingdom.
Day 2 saw the monarch leading community leaders for a thanksgiving service at Christ Gospel Church, Oria.
Speaking to journalists, the Chairman, Planning Committee, Chief Sunday Onoriode described this year’s event as a huge success, saying that it focused on peace and love.
“There was a lot of artistic display of our culture, using the instruments of war, though there was no casualty and none injured.
This, he said, attests to the fact that it portrayed peace.
He continued: “Six years is quite young, but from what we are seeing, the 6-year-reign of our king can be equated to other kingdoms that their kings have reigned for between 15 to 20 years.
He wished the monarch good health and long life.
He urged Umiaghwa-Abraka indigenes to support the king, adding that they must imbibe the virtues of peace and do the things that will benefit the kingdom in the sight of God and the government.
