Otuaro Calls On Deltans To Continue Support For Okowa
…commends Delta South PDP Over Support For The Party
The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Barr. Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, has called on Deltans to remain committed to supporting the Governor Okowa-led administration, adding that their maximum cooperation is needed for the ‘SMART Agenda’ to yield more results.
The Deputy Governor who made this appeal in an enlarged meeting of the Delta South Senatorial District of the Peoples Democratic Party in Patani, commended members of the party for their love and total support for the party and the government of Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, which has led to the success story of this administration.
Barr, Otuaro, while describing Delta South Senatorial District of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the nucleus of the party in the state, appealed to all party members and newly constituted hosting committee members at the meeting to come out en masse to host the governor at the mega rally scheduled to hold on the 9th of June, 2018 at Oleh Township Stadium.
The Deputy Governor further appealed to party faithful to continue with the same high spirit of oneness, love and commitment to ensure an overwhelming victory for the governor
and other PDP candidates, come 2019 general elections.
He told the people that the party has never failed Deltans and should never fail this time, but should do all it takes to maintain the same high standard expected of them.
The state chairman of the party, Chief (Barr.) Kingsley Esiso, who was the chief host at the meeting, appealed to all aspirants within the party hierarchy in the forthcoming general elections to exert their energies at the party’s primaries and as well desist from any act of bitterness and acrimony amongst themselves before and after the elections.
He advised them to avoid completely all acts that are inimical to the growth of the party, such as insults and abusive words to each other, explaining that instead, they should concentrate on themselves by appealing to members to support and to vote for them.
He added that aspirants have equal rights to campaign, noting that the party will support every candidate that comes out victorious during the primaries.
Barr. Esiso expressed his unflinching appreciation to Delta South PDP members for their commitment and support to the party and the government of Delta Delta State since its inception.
Meanwhile, the Delta South Chairman of the party, Prince Emmanuel Amgbaduba has explained that the party is aimed at ensuring they return Okowa back to government House come 2018 for his good works of turning the state to a construction site with even development.
He appealed to all party faithfuls to continue their unalloyed love and support for the party, stressing that the meeting was also packaged to reposition the party for higher performance rating in all elections.
The state chairman who inaugurated various sub-committees for the hosting of the Governor and his Deputy, said there is also the need for an advisory body formed with reputable elders who will from time to time make consultations and useful advice on the way forward , saying this was the only way the party could advance and succeed better.
The meeting which was likened to a carnival, attracted personalities from all walks of life, including eminent members of the party and all those jostling for elective positions, as well as Dr Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, the immediate past governor of Delta state.
