In preparation for the 2019 general Elections and in commitment to ensure that the Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa is re-elected for a second tenure, a transparent group of Vote Okowa Again (VOA) has been inaugurated in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State.
In a press statement released by the Secretary of the group Hon. Chidi Chinedi and the Coordinator, Hon. Joe Ikenwe, said that the founders of this group were mainly appointed SAs to Governor who have no intention to contest any elective office, come 2019.
Hon. Chidi Chinedi further pointed out that the group would be transparent and focused on ensuring that there was adequate sensitization and mobilization of the electorate in the Local Government to vote Okowa again, based on his track record of taking Delta State to greater heights especially with his SMART Agenda.
The Coordinator Hon. Joe Ikenwe, stated further that as the Local Government had its executive members, same way it would be produced across the 11 wards in Aniocha South for effective spread and efficient mobilization of the electorate.
The Secretary, Hon. Chidi Chinedi, said that in this regard, the chapter executive and members would carry out door to door campaign for the performing Governor Okowa, who he said has transformed the three senatorial districts of the state to a construction site.
In the same vein, the woman leader of the group, Mrs Uche Ada Jesus admonished all to work with a team spirit and uniformity of purpose, devoid of bickering and back biting, promising that by the grace of God, she will put her best to ensure victory for Governor Okowa’s re-election, come 2019.
High point of the occasion was the inauguration of the Aniocha South chapter of (VOA) Vote Okowa Again with Hon. Joe Ikenwe as coordinator, Hon Chidi Chinedi, Secretary and Ada Jesus as the woman leader, as well as other exco members across the 11 wards of the Local Government.
The Executives all spoke of their resolve to deliver Aniocha South Local Government to PDP just as it was done during the last Local Government Council elections.
