Barr. Jackson Akpevwe Tuedor has officially declared his interest to represent the people of Sapele at the Delta State House of Assembly, come 2019.

Speaking recently at the All Progressives Congress (APC) secretariat in Sapele, Tuedor opined that though he has been in politics for a while, he is yet to be given the opportunity to prove his worth.

According to him, his visit to the party secretariat was to request that he be given a chance to represent the party and the area in the state’s House of Assembly.

He said: “With me, this is the true change that we seek. With the opportunity of becoming a member of the Delta State House of Assembly, my manifesto is simple with three focal points- technology, child education and business opportunities.”

Speaking further, Tuedor said that he was very ready for the race and assured that the party will take over Sapele at the forth coming polls.

He continued: “In 2016 when I decided to join this party, I came in with over 1000 youths in Sapele. If I am giving the chance, we will see what we have never seen before by creating legacy projects.”

He hoped that the present fiasco in the party that has led to parallel bodies in the state will soon be resolved to enable the party put forth a formidable and united force to ensure that APC wins the seat of the state’s legislative chamber for Sapele constituency.

In his response, the Chairman of the party in the area, Chief Lucky Esidje, said the fact that Barr. Tuedor was born and bred in Sapele and also an indigene of the town, compared with his intimidating profile makes him an outstanding aspirant for the position.

Chief Esidje described Tuedor as an asset to the party, adding that the party will back the aspirant that can get development and attract the dividends of democracy to Sapele.

The Organising Secretary of the party in Delta Central, Comr. Peter Romaine was present at the occasion, as executive members of the party in the locality also turned out en masse to witness the ceremony.

High point of the occasion was the presentation of a Lexus Mercedes Jeep to the party in Sapele, with a promise to fuel the vehicle monthly with the sum of N20, 000 by the House of Assembly hopeful.

Tuedor also tasked the executive to employ a young graduate to man the IT section of the secretariat, adding that the monthly salary of the said employee would be taken care of by him.
