Delta Police Command Vows To Deal With Hoodlums Killing Policemen
By Omonigho Odens
The Delta State Police Command has vowed to deal decisively with hoodlums who have formed the habit of killing policemen in the line of duty in the state.
CP Muhammad Mustafa during a telephone conversation with Oasis Magazine (OM) yesterday, stressed that the hoodlums have attracted the anger of the Force Headquarters, Abuja as well as the Delta State Police Command.
CP Mustafa while reacting to the recent killing of a policeman and the havoc wrecked by hoodlums in Bomadi, warned that nobody kills a policeman and goes scot-free.
He said: ‘’We are working round the clock to get the hoodlums who killed my policeman and caused others havoc in that area.
“I want to assure you that my men are on top of the matter and I am deploying a special troop to Bomadi as force headquarter has mandated the Delta Police Command to deploy a special troop to root hoodlums out. Bomadi is one of the hot spots and criminal hideouts in Delta State.
“We are still investigating and I assure you that the criminals shall not go unpunished and will be fished out soon.’’
He continued: “The same special troop shall go round many parts in Delta state to deal with hoodlums ruthlessly to make Delta riverine communities and other places in the state safe for business and other activities.
It would be recalled that there have been reported cases of rampage, incessant assassination, rape, as well as armed robbery cases in the riverine communities of Bomadi and its environs.
