DTHA 2019: I Stand For Hope And Represent The Voiceless In Ethiope East —Chief Eguriase Sule

The Founder of Bemys Foundation and CEO, Bemys Records, Chief Olorogun (Mrs.) Eguriase Sule, has said that her mission to the Delta State House of Assembly to represent the people of Ethiope East stands for hope, saying that if given the mandate, she will represent the voiceless, come 2019.
Speaking to Oasis Magazine (OM) during an exclusive chat, she added that she is out to give succor to patients that suffer from the sickle cell ailment, widows and the less privileged in the locality.
“I have seen many in orphanage homes that are not well taken care of. I want them to go to school because I see all of them as my special children. I also promise to provide free medical treatment and little stipends every month for disabled persons and the most vulnerable persons in the area.
“Remember, I studied Health Care and so these projects are dear to my heart.”
I am not running because I need money. I want to help the helpless and change the area.”
According to her, she was moved to tears when she visited a hospital recently, adding that there is a high level of mortality rate in the area.
Her words: “We lose our mothers and children daily. The rate of death of our mothers and children is scary. A lot of things are not right. Our people are neglected especially in the medical area. Many are victims of rape and no one is paying attention to them.”
On if she stands a chance, considering the intimidating status of other aspirants in her party, she said: “I am a likable person and my good works will speak for me. Bemys Foundation runs a programme to give succor to sickle cell patients. Recently, we renovated the police station at Isiokolo, amongst other philanthropic gestures.
“After staying overseas for over 25 years, I am now fully on ground to contribute my own quota in moving this Local Government Area forward through politics under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
“My people are in support of my ambition to represent them in the Delta State House of Assembly and a woman is needed to occupy that position, come 2019.
“I was at the burial ceremony of the mother of the party Chairman in the area recently and I saw the love and endorsement I got from many party leaders and members during the ceremony,” she said.
According to her, she is on a mission to bring partners and many ideas from Europe to the area.
