Uduaghan: APC’ll Win With Wide Margin, Says Okumagba

The All Progressives Congress, APC, aspirant for the Delta State House of Assembly, Warri Constituency II Seat, Hon. Mike Ohwoyovwe Okumagba, today said the party in the state will win the forthcoming elections with a very wide margin with the entrance of Ex-Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan into the party.

Okumagba made the assertion in a chat with our correspondent through the Secretary of the Mike Okumagba Campaign Organization, Comrade Ese Jerry Azakaza.

Okumagba argued that Dr. Uduaghan has the structures which they hope will be collapsed into the APC.

The business tycoon said Dr. Uduaghan who is coming with a large number of followers is an indication that Delta State is already of the hooks off the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Okumagba welcomed the former governor to the APC fold, saying Urhobos in Warri will work not only for the emergence of Dr. Uduaghan as the Delta South Senatorial Candidate of the APC, but for his victory in the forthcoming elections.

Okumagba said Urhobos in Warri believe that Dr. Uduaghan is the most “preferred potential  candidate” they can produce and support.

“I think the Urhobos will want to pick him in my estimation because we have not gotten any other person for now. So, what we are looking for now, is the big picture as to who will sell the party and win for us.

He said: “We welcome Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan with a very open heart.”

Okumagba also debunked rumor that he is stepping down from the Delta State House of Assembly race.

In his words: “That’s the figment of the imagination of those peddling the rumor. He is somebody who actually did not want to run but he has got an antecedent as one who has been tested, trusted, dependable and then, he has been urged to come out. That’s why he came out.

An APC Chieftain in Warri South Constituency II, Hon. Ovoke Ejobe.Omagbemi, expressed excitement over the former governor’s entrance into the party.

He stressed that, Dr. Uduaghan’s entrance is good for APC in Delta State.

He continued: “What’s happening right now is favourable to me as an indigene of Warri South because we are being oppressed and marginalized by PDP.

“So, with the force of Uduaghan, we are going to defeat any person that is coming from the PDP axis”

Omagbemi promised to mobilize one thousand youths including girls to the official rally of Dr. Uduaghan that is billed to take place soon.

He appealed to Chief Michael Johnny to understand that the former governor is not a small politician and as such should see the need to embrace him wholeheartedly into the APC.

Omagbemi further said: “Dr. Uduaghan is going to bring a lot of goodies to the party. He is going to make an impact. So, therefore, we should welcome him. In fact, he doesn’t need us, we need him.

“He has built a name for himself. So, am calling on all APC card carrying members to rejoice from this minute because it is a good thing that we are going to win an election in Delta State,” he averred.
