Okowa Will Start Preparing For His Thanksgiving If APC Denies Ogboru The Guber Ticket

–Says That HIs Support For Ogboru Is Not Because He Is An Urhobo Man

The Member representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Obaisi Ovie Omo-Agege, has said that his support for Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru to clinch the ticket as the guber candidate for All Progressives Congress, APC, was not because he (Great) is an Urhobo man, but because of all the contestants, he is the only one that can win the election for APC.

Speaking during a consultative visit of Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru to APC leaders and members in Delta North Senatorial District, Omo-Agege stressed that: “Okowa will start preparing for his thanksgiving if APC denies Ogboru the guber ticket.”

His words: “APC needs to field the most competent aspirant, come 2019. We have never sat down any day to say that we zoned the governorship ticket to Delta North.

“None of those contesting for the seat in Delta North are more Delta North than Greaty Ovedje Ogboru.

“Ogboru has the intellect, integrity, geographical spread and in terms of followership and acceptance he stands out from other contestants.

“For you to win the governorship election in this state, you must win at least 12 to 13 local government areas. From his father’s area, he enters the contest with eight local government areas already. There is no one in PDP living or dead that can take those places from him in nan election.

“Up north, he is very sure of winning Ukwuani, Ndokwa West and East local government areas. No one in PDP can deny him those three council areas. He has done it before and he will do it again. Oshimilli South we all know that Ogboru will emerge victorious there too.”

Also, Omo-Agege opined that in Delta South, Ogboru is also sure of winning the two council areas of Isoko and also in Warri South Local Government Area, he is sure of at least 65 percent of the votes, adding that there are many more places that Ogboru will still win, come 2019.

He continued: “Many persons contesting in APC are sponsored by Okowa, who if given the ticket will eventually be defeated by the incumbent who will then pay their debts owed them by the Delta State Government.

According to him, Ogboru does not represent an Urhobo agenda, but a pan-Deltan agenda since he is connected to the three senatorial districts in the state.
