Eid-El Maulud: Delta Speaker Felicitates With Muslim Faithful
*** Calls For National Unity Amongst Nigerians*
*** Says The Nigerian Dream Is Possibleh
The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated muslims in the country, as they join other faithful around the world to celebrate Eid-El Maulud.
In a press statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Dennis Otu, the Speaker implored Muslim faithful to see this year’s celebration of Eid-El Maulud as a time to render selfless service to God and humanity
Rt. Hon. Oborevwori who is also the National Treasurer of Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria and the PDP Candidate for Okpe State Constituency in the 2019 general elections, appealed for love and national unity amongst Nigerians.
According to the statement; ” I want to wish all our muslim brothers and sisters in Delta State, Nigeria and the world over a happy Eid-El Maulud celebration. I want to implore our Muslim faithful to show love to one another, make selfless sacrifices and tolerate each other. This period should be used for self examination and reflection on our national life. Let us collectively work for the growth and progress of our country.”
”Let this period also be used to pray for our beloved country and our leaders at all levels. Let us work collectively for the country of our dream. The Nigerian dream is possible and so let us join forces for it to be realised. We should continue to pray for peace and harmony in our nation, especially now that the 2019 general elections are around the corner. I rejoice with all our muslim brothers and sisters. May this occasion bring all of us peace, joy, progress and good health,” the statement added.
