DTHA Candidates/Aspirants: Uduaghan, Kokori, Waive Storm Abraka For APC Peace Meeting

–We Are Set To Deliver Ogboru As Governor, Says Omolu
Candidates of the All Progressive Congress, APC, vying for the Delta State House of Assembly seat in the 25 local government areas of the state, have vowed to support the guber ambition of Chief Ovedje Ogboru to enable him emerge victorious during the elections in the state.
They reaffirmed their support for the guber candidate during a ‘Peace Meeting’ at the Abraka residence of Chief Ogboru, today, that had the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan, the party’s candidate for the Delta South Senatorial seat, Rev. Francis Waive, House of Representatives APC candidate, for Udu, Ughelli North and Ughelli South constituency and Chief Frank Kokori, a party chieftain in attendance.
Speaking to Oasis Magazine (OM) after a closed door meeting of the said candidates and aggrieved DTHA aspirants of the party with the APC guber candidate, Hon. Eze Omolu, candidate of the APC for the Delta State House of Assembly seat, Ukwuani constituency, said that “the meeting was called mainly as a session for interaction amongst candidates for the way forward for the 2019 elections that are close.”
He continued: “It was an opportunity for all candidates to brainstorm and make suggestions to enhance our success in the polls. The thrust of the meeting was to rally round and ensure that President Muhammadu Buhari is reelected. The idea is that with Buhari’s victory, the following elections would be easier.
Contrary to reports that some of the aggrieved DTHA aspirants staged a walk-out, Omolu said that the said aspirants have resolved to work for the party, adding that a peace deal was struck and that the party was set to go into the election as a united force.
According to him, Dr. Uduaghan was present to share his experience and give advice to candidates to ensure their victory at the polls.
He called on APC supporters to believe that the ‘Change’ agenda was for real and achievable in the state, stressing that they were set to deliver Ogboru as governor.
