While reacting to a question on his chance of winning the election, he said: “I have no reason to contest if I know I am not winning this election. I am sure of emerging victorious.”
However, the APC gubernatorial candidate lamented the poor security situation in the state, as he said that there are reports of pockets of violence in some places, adding that, “security is weak in so many places but we have reported to the security agencies and we hope they take action.”
According to him, “elections were conducted yesterday in Udu and Bomadi Local Government Areas in private homes.”
He continued: “The requirement to use the card readers in most of the riverine communities is not strictly adhered to. But in any case, this is just the beginning. Let us see how the day ends.”
Furthermore, he said: “As you can see there, is a massive turnout of voters in many parts of the state.
