3-man Armed Robbery Gang Terrorizing Abraka Meet Their Waterloo
–As Police Recover 2 Cut-to-size Guns, Laptops, Phones From Them
Abraka Police Division of the Nigerian Police Force, today nabbed two members, Akpos Umukoro and Kingsley Daniel (both resident in Abraka) of a three-man armed robbery gang during a robbery operation in Abraka.
Muoneke Chukwuka, a repairer of laptops lost a laptop and his phones at gun point during the operation.
The robbers are said to have ran out of luck when the police swung into action after a tipoff from a resident in the area.
With the help of some vigilante members, the police nabbed Umukoro and Kingsley, as the leader of the gang is said to be at large at the moment.
The said robbers during their confessional statements revealed that they were responsible for the recent robbery operations in the community.
Some of their victims include: Chief Harrison Jessa who was robbed last weekend of over N3, 000, 000, phones and expensive necklaces after they forcefully gained entrance into his well fortified apartment. Others we gathered include Hon. Tina Iwhiwhu, SA to the Governor on Women Mobilsation. We learnt that the said robbers went away with N50, 000 cash and her ATM card which they used in withdrawing about N400, 000.
According to sources, another of their victim was also recently robbed and shot. At the time of filing this report, she is undergoing treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Abraka because of the bullet wound sustained during the robbery operation.
According to police sources, two laptops, 3 phones and two cut-to-size guns have been recovered from the robbery suspects.
The said robbers are in police custody and are helping the police in their investigation.
