Say They Get To Lecture Venues Late

By Our Reporters
Students of the Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, have appealed to the Management of the university to provide more tricycles in Site three to enable them move from one lecture halls to another at ease.
The students, who spoke to this reporter in an interview in Abraka, noted that the shortage of tricycles was the reason they get to lecture venue late.
A 300 female level student of Pharmacy, stated: “We need more tricycles in Site Three to cater for the mobility needs of students within the site. Most times we get to class late.
“When you get to Site Three, it takes more than 15 to 20 minutes to get to the venue of your lecture because of delay.”
A 200 level Philosophy student, said the shortage of tricycles was taking a toll on the students, urging the management to allow more tricycle into Site three in order to address the shortage.
Speaking in the same vein, another student of Geography and Regional Planning, decried the way students stand on queues waiting for tricycle and asked the management under the leadership of Peretomode to come to their aid.
He said: “We appeal to our amiable and understanding Vice-Chancellor, Prof Victor Peretomode to come to our aid as examination was around the corner. “Most times, we have to walk from Pre-Degree Hall to Faculty of Social Sciences so as not to get to lecture halls late and afterwards one will be exhausted.”
Also speaking, a final year female student of Medical Biochemistry, stressed the need for more tricycle to be allowed to work inside the site.
She warned that if the issue was not addressed, many students would get to examination venues late during the second semester examination.
