Diakparomre To Present DELSU’s 74th Inaugural Lecture On Thursday

A world renowned artist, Professor Abel Mac Diakparomre will on Thursday, 13th June, 2019 present the 74th in the series of inaugural lectures of the Delta State University, Abraka.
The inaugural lecture titled: ‘The Nigerian Modern Artist: An Obscurantist, a Soliloquist?’ will take place at the 1st 750 Auditorium, Academic Area, Site 3 by 11:00am.
Diakparomre, a professor of Sculpture and Art History attended Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, University of Benin (UNIBEN), Benin-City and University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) respectively.
A native of Okpara Water-side in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State and a member of the Urhobo Studies Association (USA), Prof Diakparomre is the Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), DELSU Chapter. He will be the 3rd professor to present an inaugural lecture in the Department of Fine and Applied Arts, DELSU-Abraka after Professors Osa Egonwa and Grace Ojie-Ogwu.
Invited guests are expected be seated by 10:30a.m.
