Koyoyo: What Happened In Bayelsa Guber Election Can Be Replicated In Delta

–Appeals To Agege To Settle Rift In Delta APC

“Lots of things have happened from during the 2019 elections till now, but we are praying that All Progressives Congress (APC) faithful in Delta State will see the need to come together and foster the unity that can give us a formidable front in going forward.”

Prince Uhrorho Koyoyo, aspirant of the APC for the Delta State House of Assembly seat, Ughelli South Constituency seat in the 2019 elections, made this remark while responding to questions from journalists during a function in Abraka at the weekend.

According to him, what happened recently in Bayelsa State during the guber polls can be replicated in Delta State.

He added: “What made theirs work was unity. We lacked that in Delta during the 2019 elections. Taking Delta is very easy, but we have to be united. We have too much infighting in Delta here and cannot go into an election and be victorious when there is rancor.”

When asked if there are already moves to settle the differences amongst leaders in the state chapter of the party, he said: “There is no move yet to settle the differences. It is on this note that I am appealing to our leader, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege to please put the house in order and settle the rift in the party.”

Speaking about what is his next political move, Koyoyo said: “It is to consolidate on the lessons from the last election. I am still in touch with my people so that even though I am not in the Delta State House of Assembly, I still can represent them in certain ways.

“I am sure you are aware of some of the little philanthropic programmes I am doing in my constituency including influencing the construction of over 20km of roads to my Local Government Area. That is to tell them that I must not be in the House of Assembly to represent them.”

On the Edo State APC political crisis between Governor Godwin Obaseki and the National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomole, Koyoyo said: “I expect the governor to resolve that issue. He knows what to do and he should resolve it.”
