The immediate past Public Relations Officer of the Delta State University, Abraka and President of the DELSU Workers’ Multi-purpose Cooperative Society, Abraka, Mr. Edward Agbure, will tomorrow, February 2, 2020, resume as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the university.
Two months after assumption of office, the new Vice Chancellor (VC), Professor Andy Egwunyenga, deemed it fit to reappoint Agbure who handed over to Mr. Freeborn Aganbi under the Peretomode administration.
Agbure served in the Senate Division of the Registry Department before this recent posting.
Speaking to Oasis Magazine (OM) during a phone conversation, an elated Agbure said that this decision by the VC was in recognition of his worth while he served as PRO before he was replaced during the Peretomode administration.
He added: “This reappointment is a way of recognising hardwork. My pedigree has been recognized,” saying that he will improve on what he met on ground.
He continued: “By this reappointment, my modest contribution to this unit has been taken into cognizance by Professor Andy Egwunyenga.
“I will key into the vision of the Vice Chancellor and contribute my quota towards the success of his administration.”
While thanking God for the opportunity to serve in this capacity once again, he commended the VC who he said has made the point that once you are good at what you do you should be given a chance to serve in that capacity.
