The Minority Leader in the Delta State House of Assembly and Member representing Ethiope East Constituency, Hon. Innocent Anidi, has thanked his party members in Abraka for the massive support they showed him during the 2019 elections.
Anidi, who visited members of the party in Abraka, comprising Ward 1, 2 and 3, was full of praises to his party, as he promised that their efforts will not be in vain.
He said: “I have not forgotten my electoral promises; with God on my side, we will fulfill them all. The people we can empower we will empower even though it cannot get to everybody at the same time.”
Continuing, he said: “The House of Assembly seat does not belong to me but the people of Ethiope East that I represent.”
During the thank you visit, the lawmaker selected women from each of the three wards in Abraka for empowerment.
Oasis Magazine (OM), spoke to the Chairman of the party in Ward 1, Bernard Emudainohwo and one of the beneficiaries of the empowerment scheme, Mary Akpooguma.
Emudainohwo, who commended Anidi, said they were all excited with the appreciation visit.
He added: “Today is a good day in which our honorable member representing us deemed it fit to visit us to appreciate us for the good work that we did for him during the election in ensuring that he won the elections.
“Today, he picked some of our mothers, 23 of them and promised to empower them. We appreciate this gesture. This is the way to go and I am glad that he is embarking on this tour to all the wards in the local government Area in appreciation of a job well done by party members.”
He called on every member to be patient with him and also determined to return him back to the house.
On her part, Akpoguma said that they were happy that he remembered them today and promised to empower them.
While praying for him to succeed in the 7th Assembly, she added that they will return him back with their votes when the time comes.
