COVID-19: Anthony Owumi Foundation Doles Out Palliatives In Sapele, Adagbrasaa, Other Places

As part of it’s efforts to cushion the effect of the lockdown directive aimed at curbing the spread of the deadly Coronavirus pandemic, known as Covid:19 which has been discribed by the World Health Organization, WHO as a global emergency, the Anthony Owumi Foundation has donated various palliatives to people in Sapele, Adagbrasaa – Elume Community, Ugbake street, Egwemese (women’s group), Ogirisen Community, Amukpe, Egbegbe Owumi Ompe Cultural Dance group Orugiri among others.

The Anthony Owumi Foundation which is known for its humanitarian gesture and promotion of the Okpe cultural heritage has in the past weeks during the lockdown contributed greatly to ameliorate the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Speaking with newsmen, the founder, Chief (Dr.) Anthony Owumi JP, The Omamigho of Okpe Kingdom, said that his foundation decided to give out the palliatives to the elderly mothers and fathers, noting that the government cannot do it alone and such, it’s necessary for the Anthony Owumi Foundation to do the little it can during this period of lockdown.

It should be noted that the Anthony Owumi Foundation is known for its humanitarian tendencies and touching lives is one of its major objectives.

On the deadly Coronavirus, Chief Anthony Owumi said that the Covid:19 is real.

He maintained that people should adhere strictly to government and health officials directives in ensuring that all the safety measures are kept ranging form keeping social distance, watching of hands, using of hand sanitizers among others.

Chief Anthony Owumi also praised the Egbegbe Owumi Okpe Cultural Dance Group for their steadfastness and absolute commitment over the years despite all odds, noting that better days are ahead for the Okpe people in sustaining and promoting the Okpe Culture.
