Biomed Reacts To Sapele Tafia’s Publication, Urges Deltans To Ignore Allegations
By Daniel Dafe
The Management of Biomed Medical Diagnostic Centre, Sapele, has described an online publication credited to Sapele Tafia (ST) online media as fictitious, misleading and sponsored by individuals that are on an evil mission to erase their record-breaking good works that have occured overtime.
In a Facebook post, ST had alleged that Biomed Diagnostic Center, Sapele, presents fake results to patients and operated fake machines ran by quacks.
In a press statement made available to journalists, the management said they were shocked with the said allegations that can best be described as concorted lies with no iota of truth and would have loved not to dignify the poster with a reply but decided to do so in order to safeguard some of his gullible readers from getting misled.
The statement read in part: “Biomed laboratory has a state-of-the-art equipment. We don’t use quacks, but have very qualified staff.
“Only God knows where ST is getting his information from. All he said are false and we are investigating to know those that are behind such irritating lies.
“We have our certificate of registration with the Ministry of Health and Seal of the Medical laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLCN) of authority to practice and our licenses are all intact. What tests did he conduct to be able to say what we gave some of our clients are fake?”
The statement also said that the publication is the handiwork of some persons that are motivated by envy and jealousy that their only aim is to pull down the highly placed medical lab centre.
The statement added: “We are however glad with the comments of those that have criticised the said post on social media. These are people that we do not even know that have come to our defense.
“ST should learn to cross-check his facts before hurrying to post sensitive matters.
“The write-up has no truth and it is malicious. We remain driven by a mission that is customer-based and always committed to giving the best to those that patronise us. Our clients can attest to these.
“Presently, we have many medical laboratory scientists, medical laboratory technicians, consultant radiologists and other supporting staff working in one facility. We are one of the highest private organisations with professionals. All our machines are automated and are latest equipments.
“All these have attracted several awards to us in recognition of our pursuit for excellence. One of these is the ‘Award of Excellence’ from the Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria, Delta State Chapter.”
Biomed called on ST to display his proof that led to the post, adding that the management is sure that he does not have any but was only working according to the dictates of his pay masters, while urging him to desist from such ignoble acts of misleading some gullible members of the public.
Furthermore, they adviced the public to ignore the blatant lies in the post, as they called on Deltans to continue their patronage of the institution.
