Just In: Former NDDC Commissioner, Chief Tom Amioku, Is Dead

A former commissioner representing Delta State on the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Chief Tom Amioku, is dead.
Amioku, who hailed from Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State, died on Saturday morning at his Asaba residence.
Sources close to the deceased confirmed the development to our correspondent.
It was gathered that Amioku, a top chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), he died after a protracted illness that has kept him out of politics for months.
He was a former commissioner in the state as well as a former vice chairman of PDP in Delta Central.
His death is coming barely a week after Hon. Joyce Overah, another Okpe politician, also passed on.
