Updated: Obaseki Meets Buhari’s CoS, Dumps APC
–Says The Battle To Protect The Interest Of Edo People Continues

GOVERNOR Godwin Obaseki of Edo state has announced his resignation from the All Progressives Congress, APC.
In a tweet an hour ago, Obaseki said: “I have officially resigned my membership of the All Progressives Congress (@OfficialAPCNg) after meeting with the CoS to @MBuhari.
“We shall continue the battle to protect the interest of Edo people and sustain good governance in the state.”
Meanwhile, supporters and political observers are expecting an announcement by the Governor on the new political platform where he will be seeking his re-election from, but with his recent visits to some PDP governors, political pundits believe his choice will be PDP.
