Ondo SSG Dumps Akeredolu, Resigns From Office
The Secretary to the Ondo State’s Government, Mr Ifedayo Abegunde has resigned his appointment.
Abegunde threw up the towel amidst the governorship tussle between the state Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu and his estranged deputy, Agboola Ajayi.
The former SSG is said to be a close political ally of the deputy governor.
He is likely heading for the people’s Democratic Party (PDP) to join forces with his longstanding friend Ajayi who is poised to wrestle power from Akeredolu in the October governorship election in the State.
Abegunde is likely to declare his next line of action within the next 24 hours.
Akeredolu who is seeking a re-election has been in a running battle with his deputy after he indicated interest to unseat him.
