By Balogun Mabamije

The Royal Father said this at his palace when he played host to officials of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) who were at the palace on a sensitization exercise on the curtailment of Coronavirus in the state.
According to him, rapist should be treated as armed robbers.

The Ughelli Monarch encouraged residents to always support rape victims, fish out rapist and follow them up by ensuring that culprits are brought to book.
“I want to urge the general public to always support victims of rape. Also, be vigilant and be on the look out for suspected rapist amongst us in the society and make sure they are brought to book,” he stated.
He charged all security agents in the state to leave up to expectation by ensuring that rape cases are promptly charged to court for the law to take its course.
While encouraging rape victims to speak up, HRM Oharisi 111 JP disclosed that the Council of Traditional Rulers in the state has also come out hard on rapist by not only openly condemning the act but have also promised to assist victims and follow up such cases to a logical conclusion when the need arises.
