COVID-19: NAPPS Commends Gov Okowa Over Training Of Teachers

Private school owners have appreciated the Governor of Delta State, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa, for the two-day training program on COVID-19 protocols organized for both public and private school teachers in Asaba.
The Chairman of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Uvwie Local Government Area Chapter, Mrs Rose Obi, made this known on behalf of NAPPS members in the area.
Obi who spoke to our correspondent in a telephone chat on Thursday, July 30, 2020, noted that the governor’s gesture was applaudable and therefore appreciated by members of the association in the local government area.

“We are prepared for reopening of private schools in Uvwie Local Government Area. We have taken time to train our teachers on the prevention of the spread of Covid-19 and also have put preventive equipment in place,” she said.
The NAPPS chairman however urged parents and guardians to provide face masks and alcohol-based hand sanitizers for their wards.
She also stated that Christians should embark on fervent prayers against the wiping away of the pandemic from the earth.
