AfDB Board Set To Swear In Adesina Today
The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) will hold a swearing-in ceremony for its re-elected president, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, today (Tuesday).
The ceremony, which will be attended by Heads of States, Governors and external stakeholders, will be conducted in compliance with the COVID-19 pandemic-related social distance guidelines, and broadcast online, the bank said.
Dr. Adesina was on Thursday re-elected to serve a second five-year term as president of the AfDB, after he was first elected on May 28, 2015.
He received the unanimous vote of all the Governors of the Bank on the last day of the 2020 Annual Meetings.
