BECE: Ukah Urges JSS 3 Students To Leverage On TeleClass, Two Weeks Revision Classes To Excel

Delta State Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Patrick Ukah, has admonished JSS 3 students writing the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) to leverage on the TeleClass educational programme put together by the ministry as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and the two weeks revision classes to excel in their examination.

Mr. Ukah, who gave the advice in Asaba today (21/09/2020) while monitoring the examination, urged the students to avoid examination malpractice and any act that could affect their future negatively.

While expressing optimism that they would perform well in the examination, Mr. Ukah stated that so much had been done by the Okowa administration in it’s avowed commitment to give the education sector a face lift in the state.

The Basic and Secondary Education Commissioner, who recalled that all necessary COVID-19 preventive materials had been provided for schools in the state in line with the stipulated guideline, enjoined the children to always put on their face masks.

Schools visited include West-End Mixed Secondary School and Government Model Secondary School, Asaba.

Others are St. Mulumba Secondary School, Bright Stars International School, All Saint Secondary School, Creative Field College, Good News Secondary School and Joyce International School, all in Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area, who are writing their examination in Unity Secondary School in the state capital territory.

The monitoring of the examination continues.
