Edo NBA Chairman Endorses APC’s Ize-Iyamu For Saturday Guber Poll
Pius Oiwoh, the Chairman, Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Benin Branch, has backed Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu for the Edo State Governorship election.
Ize-Iyamu, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will slug it out against Governor Godwin Obaseki of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the election holding on Saturday.
The NBA chairman said the APC candidate was a member of the bar association and needed support from its members.
He stated this on Tuesday when Ize-Iyamu visited members of the NBA to sell his SIMPLE agenda manifesto as well as solicit their support.
“Ize-Iyamu is one of us, he has been supportive of our activities so we should give him our support,” Oiwoh said.

The NBA boss also appealed to Ize-Iyamu to look into the employment issue of legal assistants as well as financial autonomy for the judiciary if elected governor.
Also speaking, the APC candidate vowed to respect the rule of law and separation of powers.
He also promised to obey financial autonomy for the judiciary and tackle the issue surrounding the employment of legal assistants.
“With my SIMPLE agenda, we will have a public-private partnership arrangement that will bring Edo back to life,” Ize-Iyamu said.
“We need to revive Ewu Flour Mill, Leventis farms, and other investments in the state that have become moribund.
“I believe in local patronage and we will patronise our local people to develop our state.”
