JUST IN: UPU Youthwing Secures Release Of Makalomi Nicholas From Police Custody

President of Urhobo Progress Union, UPU, Youthwing, Worldwide, Comrade Efemena UMUKORO says the youth body has successfully released Makalomi Nicholas, the videographer that filmed the encounter between a youth and Delta Safe police team recently in Ughelli.

Nicholas was arrested for fake news and other offences and was to be charged to court.

Moved by his usual passion to intervene and defend the human rights of youths and other Deltans, Umukoro stepped in and with the cooperation of the police saw to the release of the offender.

In a post on social media (WhatsApp), the youth leader said: “The bargain with the police has produced good result as we have been able to secure the bail of Prince Makalomi Nicholas (The Videographer that did that viral Ughelli Video).”

Comrade Umukoro thanked the Police Command of Delta State and the judiciary for their cooperation.

Furthermore, he thanked the Honorable Minister for Labor and Employment, Barr Festus Keyamo SAN for adding his voice to demand the release of our Prince Makalomi Nicholas.

Continuing, the vibrant youth leader said: “I remain the National President of Urhobo youths worldwide and our responsibility is to defend our youths and give them a voice that they can trust.”
