Aghogho, Wegba Get Married In Grandstyle

The couple, Mr and Mrs Afrebane Wegba flanked by members of their family after the wedding on Sunday at Church of God Mission, Merogun, Warri.

It was a gathering of who is who in Nigeria on Sunday at Church of God Mission, Merogun branch in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, as former Miss Ebojoh Aghogho Nancy and Mr. Afrebane Wegba got married in grandstyle.

Speaking at the church service, the offiiciating Minister, Rev. Emmanuel Amadi said marriage is a hourable institution and therefore charged them to love each other to have a blissful married life.

Quoting Ephesians 5:21-26 and 1st Thessalonians 5: 18, he said there should be communication in a marriage and they should try to appreciate each other.

The clergy said foundation of marriage should go with words like “l love you.”

He said the couple should be able to apologise for wrong doings as that is the only way to cement their love.

Above allz he said they should always appreciate God in whatever they do.

He said marriage is not a bed of roses but built on endurace, saying sometimes, there is bound to be disagreement but that can be resolved with ease if there is understanding between the couple.

He said the couple should always anchor on the words of God coupled with prayers to make their marriage work welll.

The clergy wished the couple a successful and blissful married life.

On the the part of the couple, they vowed to live in love and unity untl death do them apart.

They also promised to always resolvve their differences amicably without washing their dirty linen in the public.

In a short interview immediately after the wedding, the couple, Mr.and Mrs Afrebane Wegba, expressed gratitude to God Almighty who made it possible for them to get married.

They said they are much aware of the challenges associated with marriages but said by the grace of God they would be able to surmount them through prayers.

Mr. Wegba said: “We are aware of the challenges associated with marriages but by His grace, we would be able to surmount them through prayers by the grace of God.”

While thanking God for a successful marriage, they thanked those who supported them in one way or the other to make the marriage a success.

They also thanked their various parents who stood by them especially during the planning and on the day of the marriage just as they thanked friends and other family members that graced the occasion.

Wegba said: “l want to thank our parents, my in-laws and friends who stood by us to make the marriage a success especially friends and family members who were able to grace the occasion despite their busy schedule.”

Highlight of the occasion was the cuting of the wedding cake amidst cheers.
