BREAKING: Delta PDP Leader Found Dead In His Home

The remains of a leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Sapele, Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State, Mr Jubril Ikumetse, has been recovered from his home, at the Amukpe area of the town, two days after he was reported missing.
A neighbor who spoke to Oasis Magazine (OM) under conditions of anonymity said that Mr Ikumetse was last seen on Friday, adding “we thought he had travelled, not knowing he was inside his house, and has been dead for days now, It was when we began to hear foul smell from the direction of his house that we suspected he might be the one and we had no choice than to call the police and that was when we confirmed our fears.”

Mr Ikumetse served as the treasurer of the party in Sapele Ward 1 and was said to have divorced his wife years ago and has been living alone, until he went missing on Friday.
Party executives led by the Member representing Sapele in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Felix Anirah have since made arrangements to commit for his burial that took place on Sunday evening.
Meanwhile tributes have continued to flow in for the PDP chieftain, Mr Jubril Ikumetse,
Anirah who was in tears described Ikumetse as a sweet soul, who will be missed; “what will I say?
He added: “He was a real party man whose booming voice and contagious laugh will be hard to get. Things won’t ever be the same again.”
Also, other party members said he will be missed, noting that he was a real party man, who worked assiduously for the success of the party in Sapele last year.
