Poor Performance: Bomadi Constituency Starts Process To Recall Preyor Oboro, Says He Is A Nightmare To The Constituency
…Pass Vote Of No Confidence On Him
By Oasis Magazine
The people of Bomadi Local Government have passed a vote of no confidence on their House of Assembly Member, Hon. Preyor Kenneth Oboro, Deputy Majority Leader of Delta State House of Assembly for his poor performance and representation for 9 years.
Speaking with newsmen in Bomadi, youth leader and Coordinator of Bomadi Like Mind Comrades, Comrade Gilor Kelly said: “Recalling back Hon. Preyor Oboro is the best decision the Constituency hasmade, and we will do everything legally possible to recall him back.”
“It will interest you to know that, the member representing us in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Preyor Oboro is there for his self-interest and family; he does not care whether he is representing people. All he cares about are himself and family and we are telling him enough is enough. Hon. Preyor should know he is in public office holder and not his personal business.
“Our protest today is to tell him that he cannot represent us again in the State House of Assembly. He should resign and submit himself to EFCC to account for all the money he collected for constituency projects since 2011 till date before he will be disgraced out of office.
“We are recalling him (Hon. Preyor Kenneth Oboro) back because of poor performance from 2011 till date: no constituency office, no constituency project, no good relationship with his constituencies, no good communication with the people he is representing and among others. No personal hate.
“Is so disgraceful and unfortunate that since he became House of Assembly Member in 2011 no Constituency office, nothing to write home about. No single Constituency Project. He is a nightmare to the people of Bomadi Local Government. Nobody talks good about him in his Constituency. Recalling him back is the best decision we have made and we are not going back until we recall him back or he resigns and submits himself to EFCC to account for all the money he collected for our Constituency Projects,” the protesters said.
“It will also interest you to know that during the 2019 campaigns, while begging his opponent to stepdown for him because the people have rejected him. Hon. Preyor Oboro alleged to have told his opponent that, please sir abeg you in the name of God I know the people have rejected me. I know I have already failed this election because of my poor performance during my 8 years in office, but the truth is, “My first tenure (2011 to 2015) I used all the money in election tribunal case between me and late Hon. Donbraye Omoro, in my second tenure (2015 to 2019) I used all the money to train my children. Please my brother allow me for this third tenure (2019 to 2023) to arrange myself.
“You can see that this man is wicked and heartless using our commonwealth to do his personal things that does not concern the people he is representing while the people of the Constituency are suffering. It does not concern him if the people he is representing are suffering or not. We are calling on EFCC and ICPC to arrest him and make him to account for all the money he collected for our Constituency Projects 2011 till date to serve deterrent to others.
“We are calling on our House of Assembly Member, Hon. Preyor Oboro to honourably resign and submit himself to EFCC and ICPC or be disgraced out of office. Over 100 people of the Constituency have signed his recall petition.
“Our historical protest today is to recall him back. We are recalling him because of poor performances 2011 till date, no Constituency office, no Constituency Project, no good relationship with his Constituencies, no good communication with the people he is representing and among others. And let this recall serve as detterent to others.”
