Chief Watchman Goes Home, As Family Announces Funeral Activities
The family of late Pa Eyinimisu of Toru-Angiama Community in Patani LGA of Delta State, has announced the funeral activities of the oldest man of Delta Angiama, Double Chief Watchman Eyinimisu, who died at the age of 90, during the early hours of August 30, 2020, after a brief illness.
In a joint press statement signed by the family members and Chairman of the Burial Planning Committee, Mr. Holiday Eyinimisu, and the son of the deceased and Secretary, Burial Planning Committee, Peresine Watchman, revealed that on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at 4:30pm, Service of Song will be held at his compound in Ewerezi Quarters in Toru-Angiama Town, Delta State, which will be followed by candle night at 7:30pm.

The activities of day two, Thursday February 11, 2021, revealed that there shall be novelty football March between the Youths of Toru-Angiama South and Toru-Angiama North at 7:00am. At 11:30am, the body of late Chief Watchman Eyinimisu will leave Patani Mortuary for Toru-Angiama, and will be received by Kumbowei Traditional Council of Chiefs at his compound in Ewerezi Quarters, Toru-Angiama, Delta State at 1:00pm. The performance of Pocole Boys and Angiama Awigiri Dance Troupe follow immediately.
There shall be tradition wrestling March at 4:00pm, followed by Traditional Wake from 7:30pm till dawn, and music to be supplied by Ijaw Numu-Pere II and Music Pillar of Niger Delta, King Pereama Freetown JP.
The statement also indicated that Toru-Angiama ereotu Ogele (women procession) will kick-start from his compound on the third day, Friday, February 12, 2021 at 7:00am, and Interment follows immediately at 10:00am.
They also stated that the final funeral rite will hold on Saturday, February 13, 2021, starting with boat regatta at 8:00am. Invited guests and Kumbowei Traditional Council of Chiefs led by His Royal Majesty (Dr.) Jackson F. Angalabiri are expected to be seated at 10:00am as the reception would take place by 10:30 prompt.
They concluded that the Thanksgiving service would hold on Sunday, February 14, 2021, at Cornerstone Christian Church, Toru-Angiama, Delta State at 10:00am.
