Ethiope West PDP Chair Commiserates With Ofa Family, Oghara, LGA, Party Over Murder Of Hon Elliot Ofa
By Oasis Magazine
The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon Solomon Obareki, has commiserated with Ofa family, Oghara Kingdom and Ethiopia West PDP over the death of Hon Elliot Ofa, a PDP councillorship candidate for the March 6 Delta council elections.
Hon Obareki in a statement he personally signed, expressed shock over the demise of Hon Elliot Ofa, a Councillorship Candidate of the party under Ward 8/13 Oghara in the forthcoming local government Election in Delta State, who was killed by Kidnappers on his way to screening in Asaba, along Oben/Igbenoba/Jesse Road, yesterday Monday 11th January, 2021 alongside four others.
He described Elliot Ofa as a brother, friend, former colleague and strong member of the party, who selflessly served the good people of the council as supervising Councillor for Environment, under the Hon Solomon Golley administration.
He further condemned the killing and kidnap of two others in strong term, as he called on security operatives to apprehend the perpetrators, make them face the full weight of the law and help secure the release of the two other party members who were also kidnapped in the process.
“According to the information, they were five members of the party inside the vehicle; two escaped with various degrees of injuries, two are still left in the hands of the kidnappers and unfortunately Hon Elliot Ofa was killed.
“Hon Elliot Ofa’s sudden demise and killing is a very great loss not only to the immediate family, but to the entire PDP family in Ethiope West and Delta State.
“The set of barbaric, inhuman, demonic and wicked individuals terrorising the area, should be apprehended by the security operatives and made to face the full weight of the law.
“On behalf of the PDP family in Ethiope West LGA, I condole the Ofa family, Oghara Kingdom and Ethiope west PDP family.
“May the good Lord grant everyone fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
“May His Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.
