Gas Plant Goes Up In Flames At Agbor

A gas plant went up in flames Friday night at Agbor, headquarters of Ika South Local Government Area in Delta State.
The gas plant we were told is located along the ever-busy Benin-Asaba expressway.

One person is said to have died, several adjoining buildings razed and many persons sustaining serious injuries from the inferno.
Vanguard reports that the source of the fire was not known at press time, but a source said firefighters were at the scene making frantic effort to put off the fire so as to save lives and property of persons living around the gas plant.
Effort to reach the owner of the gas plant, (name withheld), was unsuccessful as at the time of filing this report.
