The Thunder clapped her hands thrice, the moon smiled her beautiful face to hide the ugliness of the darkness, then the voice of a new-born baby was heard in the hut of Eyinimisu – and it was announced that Ogulagha, the beautiful wife Eyinimisu married from Eyimiegha family of Tamukunu Town had given birth to a male child.

My kind-hearted father, late Chief Watchman Eyinimisu grew up and got married, to live a joyful and peaceful life, but the devil kept on fighting him from different dimensions.

My father who always stood by the truth and fought against injustice and oppression, forgot that God uses men to perform signs, wonders, healing and deliverance, and to set free those who have been oppressed by demonic forces. But the challenges of life took him to Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry in Warri, Delta State on October 2012, and he confessed to me that he had never seen fresh and raw, and unbelievably believable miracles in his life like the ones God performed through Prophet Jeremiah Omoto Fefuyin. My father told me right in the Church that he had believed in the miraculous power of God through the name of Jesus Christ, and he would never go back to worship idols. That was how my father abandoned idol worship and started serving God through the name of Jesus.

According to my late mother, the idol spirits sometimes appeared to my father and asked him to worship them or they would kill him. They actually afflicted my father with severe pains that might have led to his death in the first quarter of 2013, but I and my other sibling took him to Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry in Warri, and God showed him mercies and gave him the grace to overcome the affliction of the devil. Then my father started worshipping God through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, and things turned around for his favour, and his latter days became far better and greater than the former, to the glory of the God of “Owomowomo”.

Niger Delta-Born Music Legend, King Pereama Freetown JP, the Numu-Pere II of Ijaw nation in his threnody to Manager Emiemokumor (A.K.A. Papa Pure), said every human being on earth was sent by God from heaven to execute specific assignments, and I knew my father came from heaven to carry out God’s assignments, and he fulfilled God’s purpose before passing on to the glory of God at the age of ninety.

King Pereama Freetown JP also in his threnody to late Pa Kurobou Wanjo, said Pa Kurobou Wanjo lived to become the oldest man of Egbema-Angalabiri five times before he died at the age of 110 years. According to King Pereama, when Kurobou Wanjo became the oldest man of Egbema-Angalabiri, a kinsman who was older than Kurobou came from the city to live in the town, and the community people told Kurobou that an older man had come to live in the town, so he should relinquish the oldest man position for the person and Kurobou Wanjo agreed, and the man was made the oldest man of Egbema-Angalabiri till he died, and Kurobou became the oldest man of the town again. That was how three other persons who lived in the city came to the town to take the oldest man positions from Kurobou Wanjo and died, and Kurobou became the oldest man again in Egbema-Angalabiri for the fifth time before he finally died at the age of 110 years.

My father, late Double Chief Watchman Eyinimisu became the oldest man of Toru-Angiama Community thrice like Kurobou Wanjo as narrated above.

On the early hours of Sunday, August 30, 2020, as God sent his angels to come and worship on earth and bless His children, He also sent another set of Angels to accompany my father, late Chief Watchman Eyinimisu to heaven.

The Angels of God came to the room of my father, playing their big drums to praise God as they sang melodiously. As the melodious sound of the big drums and the tuneful voices of the Angels echoed into my father’s ears, he could not hear the call of his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, as well as the Angiamarians, as he danced to the rhythm of the Angels to praise God back to heaven…

This piece should not be taken/seen as a ‘Tribute’ to my dearest late father, but it’s written as a testimony of how God with His infinite mercies kept my father to become the oldest man of Toru-Angiama thrice and also blessed him in his latter days, as well as how my father gave his life to God through the miraculous works he witnessed on October 2012, in Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry in Warri. As a servant of the Most High God, I appreciate and glorify God for the life of my father, and I wished my father would have lived longer than 100 years, let alone of 90. I therefore pray with sincerity of heart for God Almighty to give me and my other siblings the grace to live up to 120 years, with good health, sound mind, peace, wisdom, joy, all round prosperity, and to serve and worship Him to the end in spirit and in truth, in Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen.
