Ikeresan Community Thanks Seplat For Renovating Primary School, Appeals For More
Residents of Ikeresan community in Sapele Local Government Area in Delta State, has thanked the Seplat Petroleum Development Company, SPDC, for the recent renovation of the community school, Ikeresan Primary School, adding that they would be grateful if the company does more.
Residents of the Agro community while speaking to newsmen at the weekend said though they really appreciate the five classrooms renovated by the oil coy, like Oliver Twist they would want Seplat to undertake the Primary 6 class blocks and the staff room that has turned into a heap of debris over the years.
Andrew Eyuro, a youth leader in the community told newsmen that “we were really happy that Seplat undertook the repairs and renovation of the five classroom blocks, we really appreciate,

“Since the renovation of our school, our children have not experienced rainfall nor sun shining on their heads; we appreciate, but we would want them to complete the job by renovating the other building that houses the staff room and primary 6 blocks and the security gate ”
Others who spoke to journalist at the community were full of praises too, insisting the coy is helping communities around them and they would appreciate extra help in combating the problem of education in the community.
Adding: “Because of this problem we are facing, people are withdrawing their children from the school, you know we are poor villagers and sometime ago.
“Communal crises hit this village and since then we have not really recovered,” another man who gave his name as Freeborn Ogbiku said.
“The school has gotten toilet without borehole or even well water, and the school field is also bushy and the gate has crumbled too, please help us and your company will continue to progress,” he prayed.
