By Daniel Dafe, Abraka
Pan Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF, the umbrella body of traditional rulers, leaders, and people of the coastal states of Niger Delta, has welcomed the appointment of new Service Chiefs by President Muhammadu Buhari.
In a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Ken Robinson, PANDEF, while noting that “though the sack of the erstwhile Service Chiefs was long overdue,” commended the President for finally responding to calls by well-meaning Nigerians for their replacements.
The statement added: “We congratulate the new Service Chiefs while hoping that they would discharge their duties and responsibilities professionally, without biases and tendencies, in the best interest of the country.”
