Queen Shuts Buckingham Palace To 2021 Garden Parties Over New COVID Lockdown
THE Queen has cancelled all garden parties this year due to the Covid lockdown.
Her Majesty usually holds four events at Buckingham Palace and Edinburgh to thank volunteers and hero veterans.
But the Palace has made the early decision to axe the parties as the country grapples with a new mutant strain of the virus.
It comes after a string of glitzy royal events were cancelled last year due to the pandemic.
The deadlines for the parties were fast approaching with the decision made after the UK was thrown back into lockdown yesterday.

The monarch also released a heartwarming New Year message on her Instagram.

“Wishing you all a Happy and Healthy New Year.”
