NANS Constitutes COVID-19 Task Force For 36 States, FCT

In a drive to complement the efforts of government at all levels and ensure that tertiary institutions adhere strictly to Covid-19 safety protocols, the apex students body, National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has constituted a NANS COVID-19 TASK FORCE in each State to monitor strict adherence to Covid-19 safety protocol among students of tertiary institutions in their states.
This was disclosed in a press statement by the student body on Monday.
Adding that the task force will coordinate with their state government taskforce, provide campus wide monitoring and surveillance and ensure cases of noncompliance are remedied or escalated immediately.
According to the statement, “the task force will also coordinate with the National Task Force headed by the NANS President. The state taskforce shall also monitor the campus based task force within their states.”

In a related development, the NANS President directed Students’ Union presidents across all the campuses in the nation to appoint a seven(7) man Covid-19 task force in their different campuses to work with the state taskforce.
