WTO JOB: Delta Technical Education Boss, Ikolo Congratulates Okonjo-Iweala

Delta State Commissioner for Technical Education, Hon Mrs Gbubemi Ikolo, has congratulated former Minister of Finance, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, on her emergence as Director General of the World Trade Organization (WTO).
In a statement, Mrs Ikolo said she was proud that an illustrious Deltan, and a female has successfully emerged as WTO boss after a very highly competitive and protracted process.
She described her as a brilliant, hard-working, and world-class economist who has distinguished herself globally and as a two-time Minister of Finance, led Nigeria’s Economy to exit foreign debt obligation.
The Technical Education Commissioner stressed that the emergence of Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala as the first female and first African leader of World Trade Organization (WTO) in it’s 25years history, has given a true voice to women in the state, country, and Africa at large.

While congratulating her, Delta pioneer Technical Education Commissioner, Mrs Ikolo urged Dr. Iweala to re-enact that which she has always done, and bring pride and honour to Delta, Abia her husband’s state as well as Nigeria and Africa at large.
