Delta Jetty Owners Debunk Report Of Alleged Threat To Life Of Okowa’s Alleged Consultant
Following a police invitation sent to Speed Boats/Jetty Owners of Ogbe-Ijoh Waterside over an alleged petition on threat to life, the National Coordinator of Movement for the Actualization of the Dreams of Niger Deltans, Mr. Josiah Oyakonghan (aka Commander Oyimi), has said that they did not at any point make threats whatsoever to anybody in cause of their complaints over the alleged extortion of money from Speed Boats/Jetty Owners by an acclaimed consultant claiming to have been empowered by the Delta State Governor.
Oyimi who forwarded a copy of the police invitation to journalists during a briefing, wondered why the petitioners would write such lies against them for appealing to the Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa and the Commissioner of Police to wade into the lingering extortion problem between the acclaimed Delta Government consultant and speed boats/jetty owners.
He said; “Just yesterday, I got an invitation from the Area Command inviting me for questioning on 25th March 2021, over a petition against me and three others alleging threat to life. That is why we have come to the press to announce that we have never threatened any body in any form over the alarm we raised on alleged extortion between the Speed Boats/Jetty Owners and the acclaimed Delta Government consultant since the problem started. We have been the ones calling on the Commissioner of Police and the Delta State Governor to wade into this issue but no response had come from them. Only for us to receive an invitation letter from the police telling us to report at the Warri Area Command for interview over threat to life.

“Therefore, we want the general public to know what is happening because we are only fighting against Injustice.”
“The publications made weeks back did not threaten anybody but only appealed to the Commissioner of Police and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to intervene; so it is those people who called themselves government consultants and officials that are using a different means to silent our mouths. So we want the general public that my life is as take.”
