Gov Okowa Gets Commendation For Infrastructural Development, Youth Empowerment In Okpanam

A renowned entrepreneur and front line indigene of Okpanam Community, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, Comrade Sam -Jibunor Emeifeogwu, has applauded Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for the construction of several roads and empowering many youths in the community.

Comrade Emeifeogwu gave the commendation at Okpanam while speaking with newsmen after the recent inauguration of some roads in the area by the governor of Zamfara State in the company of his Sokoto State counterpart, RT. Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal on the invitation of the state governor, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa.

Comrade Emeifeogwu , who is the CEO of Inter Concept Microfinance Bank in Asaba and other parts of the state, noted that apart from the network of roads built by the state government, it had also delivered the dividends of democracy to Deltans in various ways, which he said had positively transformed the living standard of the populace.

He said that the roads in the Okpanam Community would facilitate socioeconomic growth and development of the area, adding that Governor Okowa had continued to display the needed commitment towards transforming the state capital and other parts of the state.

While describing the community as strategic to the state, especially Asaba, the state capital, Comrade Jibunor urged the community to remain peaceful, sustain the support for the Okowa administration and embrace ideas that could impact positively on the development of the community.

Comrade Jibunor also lauded the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mr. Patrick Ukah, an indigene of the community, for the key roles he has been playing in the development of the area, saying that the history of the community would not be complete without mentioning the name of the commissioner.

He called on youths in the area to always identify with things that could add values to their lives, emphasising that youths in any society were agents of positive change, just as he advised them to always have the right creative mindsets towards the development of not only themselves, but the community and beyond.

Comrade Jibunor said that the job creation and empowerment initiative of the state government was commendable, adding that the Okowa administration had taken away several youths from the street by making them self reliant through the acquisition of relevant skills.
