…Says Party Will Remember Them In The Scheme Of Things

The All Progressives Congress (APC), Delta State had commended candidates of the party in the recent Local Government Council elections in the state, adding that the dedication and commitment of candidates of the party was beyond exemplary even in the face of monumental challenges posed by the State Government and the PDP.

The party said this in a statement on Wednesday signed by Sylvester Imonina, Esq, Publicity Secretary (Caretaker), APC Delta State

Adding that “DSIEC, PDP and Gov. Okowa and their accomplices in their usual way sabotaged the processes by planting booby traps and land mines!”

The statement continued: “The Party’s celebration of its Candidates is informed by a painstaking review and collation of events prior, during and after the charade called “election”. From available information the Party had, our Candidates campaigned extensively and they left no one in doubt that they were out to win the Councilorship and Chairmanship elections.”

According to the statement, “DSIEC, PDP and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa saw the determined resolve of Deltans to root them out of the third tier of government,” saying that “they engaged in subterfuge and manipulated the system to wit; non-provision of critical election materials, particularly results sheets all over the State.*

“The shenanigans of DSIEC, PDP and Govr Okowa made the Party to take a drastic and painful decision not to be part of the shameful exercise and called on the people of Delta State to boycott the charade called “election”.

“The action of the Party was to avoid giving legitimacy to the day light political robbery of Deltans.

“The Party therefore seizes this opportunity to congratulate and assure its Heroes/Heroines (Candidates) that they will not be forgetten in the scheme of things as better days are ahead. The Party is proud of you. You all deserve our accolades,” Delta APC said.
