Delta Speaker, Oborevwori Felicitates With Christians At Easter

…Urges Prayers Against Insecurity
The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has felicitated with Christians on the celebration of Easter, urging them to emulate Jesus Christ by making sacrifice that will advance the course of sustainable development in the state.
He also enjoined Christians to pray against the challenges of insecurity in the country.
In a press statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Dennis Otu, the Speaker said that Easter exemplifies the ultimate sacrifice made by Jesus Christ to save mankind, noting that as individuals, Christians must take into consideration the welfare of others.
The Speaker called on Deltans and residents to re-dedicate themselves to the service of the state as they reflect on the ideals of Easter celebration .
According to him, Easter is a period for fresh beginning, forgiveness, love and friendship and enjoined privileged individuals to reach out to the less privileged, widows and orphans to deepen the culture of true Christianity.
While wishing Deltans a Happy Easter celebration, the Speaker admonished them to stay safe and observe all Covid 19 protocols during and after the celebration.

Rt Hon Oborevwori used the opportunity to again assure Deltans that the Legislature will continue to make laws and cooperate with the Executive arm of government to deliver dividends of democracy to the people and ensure that the people always enjoy good governance.
The Speaker further enjoined Deltans and all residents in the State to be their neighbours keeper as a way of cqomplementing Government’s effort in providing security in the State.
