Akwa Ibom: Police Confirm Attack On 2 Stations, Death Of 1 Officer

The Police Public Relations Officer of the Akwa Ibom Police Command, SP Odiko Macdon, has confirmed the attack on two police stations in the state on Wednesday morning.

AIT reports that SP Odiko, who made this known in the state, also confirmed the unfortunate death of an officer, Police Constable Edogi Bassey at Etim Ekpo Police Station.

The attacks on Ika Divisional Police station and Etim Ekpo police station were carried by gunmen suspected to have links with IPOB/ESN.

Both attacks happened less than two weeks after three policemen were killed in an earlier attack.
