EXPOSED! Real Reason Why Fred Latimore Resigned From DC-23
By Daniel Dafe, Abraka
Oasis Magazine (OM) has learnt that contrary to the claims of Barr. Fred Latimore who said he resigned his membership from DC-23 in obedience to a directive of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, an insider has said that his decision was made after his plea to function in the media department of the DC-23.
DC-23 is a group in Delta Central led by Chief Ighoyota Amori with an agenda to produce the guber candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for 2023 election.
Our source who sent us texr messages of Latimore pleading to be placed in the media team of DC-23, quoted Latimore as saying: “Migwor Leader! Still waiting for your intervention. As the pioneer media strategist for DC-23, it will be unfair for me not to be in the media arm of Exco. You may consider the inclusion of; (1) Deputy National Publicity Secretary or Director of Media & Communications, for me. Consideration should not be tinted towards LGA alone, but on my professional skills, experience and media management potentials. I remain loyal, hoping that justice and fairness will be served soon. Regards.
Barr Fred Latimore.”

Our source disclosed that the above text was “his plea to Amori to be considered for Deputy Publicity Secretary.”
Adding that “When Chief Amori turned him down because of his political instability and corrosiveness he resigned.”
Our source also quoted Latimore as saying that “for example; the Governor appointed; Commissioner for Information, DG State Bureau of Orientation, CPS and Manager Communication, all from Delta North” to drive his point to be appointed.
Meanwhile, with the dissolution of the state State Executive, OM is yet to.confirm if the group will go ahead with the inauguration of the group on Saturday in Warri.
Following the subtle condemnation of DC-23’s mission. by PDP leaders in Delta Central, unverified information said plans were underway to setup a politics group by Urhobo.indigenes under the leadership of Oguma to counter any interest from the senatorial district in opposition to Okowa’s choice if he settles for an Urhobo candidate.
