Tidi Warns Sewage Disposal Operators Against Illegal Disposal Of Waste

Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr Michael Tidi, has warned sewage disposal operators in the council to desist from dumping waste in illegal waste dump sites.
The council chairman gave this warning on Friday at Edjeba community in Warri South after visiting an illegal dump sites behind Chevron Clinic. Warri.
According to investigation the said land turned illegal sewage dump site is the proposed site for the Warri Industrial Park.
Tidi, therefore warned that the council will deal severely with anybody found dumping sewage waste in that illegal dump siteààAaaà!.
“We have given directive to all sewage disposal operators in the council not to come here and dump their waste again because it is detrimental not only to Chevron Nigeria Limited but also to the Edjeba community.

“So any sewage disposal operator caught dumping waste here, we are going to prosecute them according to the extant laws of the land.
“I am therefore calling on the Edjeba community and waste disposal operators to desist from coming here to dispose their waste,” Tidi said.
The Warri South Council boss also warned illegal dredgers to desist from dredging around that same land, warming that the full wrath of the law will be brought against them if found guilty.
“Also, the illegal dredging of sand here which has affected the integrity of the Chevron Nigeria Limited fence, should be stopped forthwith.
“Anyone caught dredging sand here again, criminal chargers will be brought against the person in tandem with the extant laws,Tidi said.
