The Senator representing Delta North, Peter Nwaoboshi may have perfected plans to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the coming days.

A post by his SPON Media Team, said “Senator Nwaoboshi meets with the President Commander in Chief of Armed forces, General Muhamadu Buhari, Vice President of Nigeria, Yemi Osibanjo, APC National Working Committee, Deputy Senate President, Obarisi OmoAgege.

His one-month suspension from the PDP in Delta State may have fast forwarded this move, as the PDP alleged that for about two years he has been romancing with opposition figures in the state and found him guilty of anti-party activities.

In recent times, Nwaoboshi has been vocal and his comments direct attacks on the Governor of the state, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa.

According to the Senator, Okowa is determined not to keep the governorship rotation arrangement whose turn ought to be Delta Central, but many believe he has a secret pact with Delta South and rather prefers an Ijaw Governor.

Some political pundits however believe that the true crux of the matter for the battle between Okowa and Nwaoboshi is who becomes the next Senator to represent Delta North since Okowa is interested in going back to the Senate, come 2023.

The battle many believe will be tough and Okowa has two battles- to return to the senate.and produce his successor as Governor.

Will Okowa have his way? Only time will tell.
