FEC Approves N7Billion For Completion Of Roads In Niger Delta
… N478Million Purchase Of Vehicles For NDDC Forensic Exercise

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) yesterday approved the sum of N7,031,525, 810.77 for the completion of works on the Phase 1 Rehabilitation Okpuala- Igwururunta Road in Imo/ Rivers States.
Director of press, Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, Deworitshe Patricia who disclosed this yesterday in Abuja explained that the Council approved the variation of contract sum N620,763,993.31 thereby revising the initial contract sum from N6,410,761,817.46 to N7,031,525, 810.77 with an additional completion period of four months for the completions of works on the road.
The council which approved all three memos presented to it by the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, also ratified the President anticipatory approval for the award of contract for the purchase of 33 nos. 4 x 4 Ford Ranger Standard Vehicles, for the Security Committee of the Forensic Audit Exercise of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) at the sum of N478,912,500.00.

Also, the Council approved the revised Erosion/ Flood Control works on the construction of Ndemili- Utagba- Uno/Ike Onicha Road, Delta State from the initial contract sum of N921,685,726.50 to N1,166,473,122.42 only, with completion period of four weeks.
