Okowa Condoles Okpuzo Inana Over Wife’s Death

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta on Saturday condoled with His Royal Majesty Okpuzo Romanus Inana, the Odiologbo of Owhe Kingdom on the passing of his wife, Queen Margaret Oghome Inana.

Speaking at the Odiologbo’s Palace, Otor-Owhe in Isoko North Local Government Area, Okowa expressed sadness at the passing of Her Royal Majesty, Inana.

He noted that the departed Queen had played her role in the family and the kingdom and urged the family to take solace in the fact that she lived a life of great accomplishments.

He commended the Owhe monarch for his outstanding contributions to the peace and development of his kingdom, Isoko nation and Delta in general.

“I heard of the passing of the queen, i do know how dear she was to you and i felt that no matter how busy I could be it would be unfair of me if do not make out time to be with you.

“I want to say that God almighty will give you strength, console you and give you the grace to be able to bear the loss.

“It is not easy especially losing a woman who has been with you for many years and with whom you have done many things together.

“It is a very tough situation but I know that what you are not able to do, God will do it for you.

“As human beings we ought to play our role and we also share in your grief and we pray that God almighty will give you the strength to be able to cope with the times.

“We share in your grief and I believe that God will lighten your pains.

“I want to also use this opportunity to thank you for the role you are playing in your kingdom, you have continued to work hard to maintain the peace in your kingdom and you have also played a role in the larger Isoko nation and Delta State.

“We see the great work that you are doing and am glad coming in here to see many royal fathers around you, I believe this is very soothing because it will help to lighten the pain.

“We pray that God will continue to be with you even in this trying moments.

“We must all come and go at a particular point in time but that time no man knows, only God Almighty knows.

“But definitely the Queen has played her own role hear on planet earth, she has done her great duties to the kingdom and to the family and we pray that God accepts her soul in heaven.

“I wish you the best and I pray that God almighty will truly bring true happiness to you, even after this period in Jesus name,” Okowa prayed.

Earlier, Governor Okowa also attended the funeral service of the late Hon. Sir Mathias Eto who until his death was the Political Adviser, Office of the Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly.

The service which held at Saint Paul’s Anglican Catheral Oleh, Isoko South Local Government Area, was attended by top government functionaries including Senator James Manager, Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, members of the state House of Assembly, Managing Director of DESOPADEC, Bashorun Askia Ogieh, Council chairmen among others.

In his sermon, titled “Why we draw this fleeting breathe”Bishop of Warri Diocese Anglican Communion, Rt Rev’d Christian Ideh called on Christians to live their life with eternity in view.

He stated that a time would come when all living creatures would be judged according to their deeds on earth, adding that there is no condemnation for those in Christ but there will be judgement for those who died without christ in them.
